| The Wetland Reserve Program or WRP will continue to receive applications for the 2007 funding year up until December 1, 2006. |

This program has several options but the top two are as follows.

Option 1
|
A Permanent Easement: Land is purchased based on appraised value not to exceed the rate cap for that area ($2,250). Plus all of the restoration cost for the project. |

Option 2
|
30 year Easement Land is purchased at 75% of the appraised value or the rate cap whichever is less. Plus NRCS will pay for 75% of the restoration cost for the project. |

The landowner still maintains their basic rights including: Hunting, Fishing, Mineral Rights, Right to sell, and Trespassing Prevention. |
