Four Supervisors, elected by ballot and a representative of the Missouri Extension Service, designated by Missouri Law, to act a Secretary, govern the District. Each supervisor represents one and/or two political townships and is elected for a four-year term. Terms of office are staggered so that two Supervisors are elected every two years. Election of officers is held at the first board meeting following an election.
